The word Theory originally meant ”a looking at, viewing, beholding”. So, as Wiki describes it, ”theories are analytical tools for understanding, explaining, and making predictions about a given subject matter.”
I created this Blog for the skeptic mind too. Some of the topics which interests me can not be regarded as facts, and they belong to the dimension of theories. Nevertheless, without asking questions how is one supposed to ever find anything?
Is it really reason which drives the skeptical mind not wanting to deal with certain topics? Or is it fear of facing the truth? The mind can easily be deceived, so please, regard Plato's metaphor of the cave as an object lesson.
“The philosopher is like a prisoner who is freed from the cave and comes to understand that the shadows on the wall are not constitutive of reality at all, as he can perceive the true form of reality rather than the mere shadows seen by the prisoners."(Wikipedia.org)
I will refer to different writers or researchers on this Blog, but that doesn't mean that I agree with everything they state. But if there wasn't some kind of truth in them, I would never mention them, right? Everything needs to be weight in the right manner.
